Founded in 1944 by forward-thinking community leaders, National EMR was created to fill critical gaps during emergencies. That spirit of initiative, stepping up under pressure, is woven into our DNA.
Focused initially on local support efforts, we’ve grown into a multi-state organization with more than three decades of experience alongside government partners. Our foundation in service, expertise, and purpose continues to drive our mission today.
National EMR maintains a constant state of readiness with personnel and resources able to have “boots-on-the-ground” anywhere across the U.S. within 12-48 hours.
Our teams operate under a comprehensive NIMS/ICS–compliant structure, supported by the most advanced all–hazards emergency management technology available. We maintain a state–of–the–art Emergency Operation Center, type I mobile command platforms with on the fly interoperability capability, air and ground fleet assets (long haul equipment, supply transportation resources, and people movers), massive inventory or communications equipment, fire and EMS capability, and significant resources to meet any Emergency Support Function (ESF) 6 and ESF-8 requirement.

National EMR expanded its footprint to support multi-jurisdictional incidents and stand-up full-scale operations in coordination with government agencies. We grew from supporting isolated local efforts to leading regional and statewide missions, delivering shelter, feeding, medical support, logistics, and survivor services with speed and precision.
By the 1980s, we had transitioned from community-level response to high-impact emergency management operations designed to stabilize entire communities and support long-term recovery. Our growth has always been mission-driven. When others step back, we step in.
